Security / Safety

By sending their children to Pine Ridge Day Camp, parents place a level of trust and confidence in us, which we take very seriously. We strive to create a safe, positive environment that keeps our campers safe, but still allows them to explore and be kids. After all, safety will always come first for us, but we also want to be able to stretch our campers' boundaries and build their self-confidence.

Staff Safety Measures:

  • Every member of our camp staff is screened very carefully during the interview process, this includes multiple interviews by HR professionals and senior management, background checks, and reference checks.

  • Campers are required to be signed in and out each day whether being dropped off at camp our picked up at the bus stop. If the counselor does not know the person picking the camper up, they are required to ask for an ID.
  • We have counselors on each of our buses, so that the drivers can concentrate solely on the operation of the vehicle.
  • All activities are run with camper safety as an integral part of each activity.
  • We have a licensed nurse on site at all times while camp is in session.
  • Counselors encourage campers thru out the day to apply sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
